DIYine: A Celebration of Homebrewing
March 5, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
We are pleased to announce our fourth annual DIYine event, a celebration of the art of homebrew featuring homemade fruit wines, beers, meads, and soft drinks.
Pear cider, plum wine, and loquat amaretto are just a few of the amazing concoctions available for tasting that were made with excess fruit from our backyard harvest program. In addition to fruit wines and ciders, there will be a variety of beers, a young mead, and a selection of soft drinks like mint lemonade, kefir water, and our famous Breath of Fire ginger ale. Our full menu is available for viewing on our blog.
The event will also include hors d’oeuvres, live music, and a silent auction. To inquire about sharing your own beverages or donating to the silent auction, contact us at [email protected].
TICKETS are sliding scale: $20-50 in advance, minimum $25 at the door. All proceeds benefit the Santa Cruz Fruit Tree Project.
ADVANCE TICKET SALES ARE CLOSED, BUT THERE ARE STILL PLENTY OF TICKETS LEFT FOR SALE AT THE DOOR.
DIYine is cosponsored by Seven Bridges Cooperative, our organic homebrew supply store, located downtown at 325 A River St.
Thanks to all the dozens of people who are contributing their drinks and/or their time to make this event possible. Thanks also to Buddy Brew, a homebrew hobby launching as a small business, for donating a lot of beer, and thanks to our business contributors Santa Cruz Cider Company and Ground Breaker Brewing. Thanks also to Beckmann’s Bakery and to Companion Bakeshop for donating bread.
