Apple Harvest

Groups like ours are loosely referred to as “gleaners”, but most of the time we are simply “harvesters”, picking from trees that have not yet been harvested at all. This event we get to join in the ancient tradition of actual gleaning: we’ll pick the perfectly tasty but not salable windfall apples from an organic farm with dozens of trees. These are big beautiful fruits, but having fallen on the ground are best suited for baking, canning, or fermenting.

Please be prepared to stay for the whole event, as part of our agreement with the farmer is to go through the whole orchard and leave it cleaner than we found it.
