Counter Cultures: A Fermentation Celebration

$20 – $50This cousin to DIYine: A Celebration of Homebrewing will offer samples of all manner of fermented foods made at home or by local businesses, such as saurkraut, sourdough rye, organic beers, manchego goat cheese, concord grape wine, chickpea miso, coconut-kefir cheese, beet kvass, kombucha, pickles, tempeh, and more.
With a wide range of foods and beverages, as well as live music, this 3rd annual Counter Cultures is sure to be another extraordinary evening.
For those interested in a more hands-on approach, this year’s event will also include three workshops in a side room. At 6:30, 7:30, and 8:30 there will be workshops on making simple farm house cheese, on sourdough rye, and on idlis and dosas (south Indian steamed cakes and crepes made with a fermented rice-lentil batter).
Counter Cultures is being co-hosted by the Fruit Tree Project and Seven Bridges Cooperative, a certified organic homebrew supply store.
